1917 Large action photograph of early Cuban star Armando Marsans from the New York Yankees, The photo is the work of Charles Conlon and shows the influential baseball pioneer working out at the ballpark in uniform. The photo has exceptional clarity and quality with a small rip on the lower right and a bit of handling wear being the only flaws. The photo has some editorial marks from publication but it looks great. Images of Marsans, who was one of the first minorities to play in the major leagues, are undervalued and this is one of his best we have ever seen!
