1916 Crystal clear action photograph of baseball Hall of Famer Christy Mathewson from the New York Giants warming up at the ballpark in full uniform. From the archives of Underwood and Underwood and offered here for the first time ever, this is among his clearest and best we have seen. The photo stamp is obscured but generally this style of paper at Underwood was used in the early 1930's so we suspect that is about the time frame that this was developed off their original glass plate negative. There is a tiny rip at the far right side but otherwise it presents really well.
