1950 Important photograph of superstar Gordie Howe from the Detroit Red Wings as he was awarded with the Stanley Cup on the ice with his team. Howe almost died a few months earlier from a severe head injury and could not play in the series, but he was right there cheering his team on until the end and was part of the ceremony on the ice when he was awarded the famed Stanley Cup. An incredibly rare piece of hockey history, this is the only image of Howe with the cup in 1950 we have ever seen. Stamped on the back by Allen studios of Detroit, this is being offered here for the first time ever!
