1963 Poignant photograph of Cassius Clay as he appeared in his car, mobbed by his young black fans at the height of his career, and taken in Louisville, Kentucky. Taken by noted photographer Howard Bingham, this is a slight restrike from the 1970's and is important as Bingham rarely made his images available to the public until much later in his life, making any vintage examples almost impossible to find. Images of Clay from early in his career by Howard Bingham are treasured and this is the only vintage example of this photograph we have ever seen!
