1929 Dated and extremely early photograph of young James J. Braddock from his first go around as a title contender, taken as he prepared to fight Tommy Loughran. He would fade in and out of obscurity before making an incredible comeback in 1935 as the "Cinderella Man" and winning the Heavyweight title. Despite some wear at the corners and a few pinholes from editorial use, the photo presents well and is the earliest of Braddock we have handled. Issued by Wide World Photos and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
