1923 Rare and early photograph of Pete Sarmiento, one of the first Filipino boxing stars to come to America, as he was establishing himself as one of the top bantamweights in the world. At the time this photo was taken he had only lost one bout, to Pancho Villa! A rare image from the Keystone View Company and stamped on the back with a paper caption as well. The photo has some pinholes from editorial use and a crease on the upper left, but otherwise it presents pretty well.
