Interesting and important 1937 photograph of Yankee legend Tony Lazzeri crossing home plate after belting a home run in the World Series. An interesting piece of history as it was both a "first" and a "last" at the same time. This was the first home run hit by the Yankees in the series, and also the last Lazzeri would hit in his illustrious career in pinstripes as he would be traded to the Cubs before the 1938 season. A great image from the International News and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
