1936 Sweeping action photograph of President Franklin Delano Roosevelt as he opens the baseball season in Washington DC with his ceremonial "First Pitch." Standing with the help of leg braces, he is flanked by Hall of Famers everywhere including Joe McCarthy, Clark Griffith and Bucky Harris. A bold and beautiful photograph in pretty nice condition with some wear at the edges from editorial use. This was issued by Underwood and Underwood and offered here fresh from their archives with a full paper caption on the back.
