1928 Large photograph of the massive outfield crew of the St. Louis Cardinals as they headed into the World Series against the Yankees. Today, teams will have four or five outfielders to make room for more pitchers on the staff, but St. Louis carried a huge crew. Led by Hall of Famer Chick Hafey and star of the team Pepper Martin. This is a clear and bold work of baseball art by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a paper caption as well, the photo has some chipping at the corners and a small rip at the top which has been repaired by tape, but it looks much better than the technical grade.
