1921 Rare photograph of former baseball player turned gambler, Sleepy Bill Burns, as he testified in the trial of eight Chicago White Sox baseball players on the charges of throwing the World Series for gamblers. From the archives of Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. Anything associated with the Black Sox trial is highly sought after and this is the first image of Burns on the witness stand we have seen.
