Lot Description  

1920 Action photograph from the fourth game of the World Series between the Cleveland Indians and the Brooklyn Dodgers and showing star Bill Wambsganss as he glided into third base. The black armbands the Indians were wearing to honor Ray Chapman are clearly visible and the photo has exceptional clarity. Photographs from the 1920 World Series are rare and this is one of the best we have ever seen, issued by Underwood and Underwood and pulled directly from their archive!
