Among the rarest baseball postcard of the pre-war era is the set of New York Giants (and Red Sox) players done by the Underwood and Underwood company. To date, we can find only six players known to exist with this example of Bill Carrigan being the seventh. The image is clean and the postcard is really nice with faint pencil writing on the back from being in a newspaper archive (actually the Underwood archive). Offered here for the first time ever and guaranteed authentic, this is an important new discovery for the baseball postcard collector! The set was previously only thought to contain members of the Giants making this Red Sox postcard an important discovery and just the second from the team known.
