The 1925 season was the low point for Babe Ruth and he vowed to never let it happen again. Many thought he was washed up, but he would work his way back into shape and have some of the best years of his career. The offered photograph from January 1926, just a few months after the 1925 World Series, shows Ruth working off his excess weight by hitting golf balls in an indoor range. A great image of Ruth from his prime, this is from the archives of Underwood and Underwood and offered here for the first time ever. Despite some chipping and wear to the edges, the photo presents well and is the only example we have handled.
