1943 Iconic photograph of Sergeant Leonard Siffleet as he was being executed by the Japanese on New Guinea during WWII. One of the most famous images ever taken and certainly one of the top images of WWII, this is one of the only vintage examples we have ever seen in any form and it grades perfect. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back, this is off a duplicate negative but all examples are as the negative is lost to history, making this the best example we have ever seen in twenty years of digging through archives!
