One of the most famous scenes in the history of film is that of Marilyn Monroe as she enjoys the cool breeze coming from an air vent on a hot summer day as it sends her dress flying in the air. It sent fans and critics crazy (for different reasons) and it has been seen a million times and imitated a million more. The offered studio photograph for the film "The Seven Year Itch" captures this iconic moment as Marilyn laughs and holds her dress down. The photo is a perfect example with all the appropriate markings on the front. The photograph has some really light crazing from age and the photo does not fluoresce under a black light, both indicators of the age of the piece which we feel is absolutely from the 1950's. We have no idea how PSA will treat the image without a date stamp, but we are confident this is a 1950's example and as such it ranks among the best images of Marilyn we have ever handled!
