1933 Sweeping aerial action photograph of Babe Ruth stepping to the plate in the first ever All-Star game in Chicago. Taken from the left field bleachers, the photo shows the packed house at Comiskey Park with reporters and photographers everywhere to take in the spectacle. From the Acme news service and stamped on the back as well as being stamped from NEA. There is absolutely no doubt the image captures the first All Star Game in Chicago as the paper caption goes into detail on the event. While Ruth is not identified on the caption, he was identified with a period pencil notation on the one other example of this photograph we have handled. The condition and quality are both outstanding.
