Incredible 1980 photograph of Queen front man Freddie Mercury as he emerged for his encore at the Los Angeles Forum riding Darth Vader. While this was all part of the act at the time and was passed off as just a weird antic, the stunt has been picked by Star Wars fans today as one of their favorite moments in rock 'n roll history. This is a completely vintage example which bears the original stamp from photographer Jeffrey Mayer on the back (obscured but still visible through the faded sharpie) and it represents the only Vintage 1 example of this event we have ever seen. Quite possibly the most important photograph of Mercury we have ever seen and it is being offered here for the first time ever!
