Two c. 1913 double weight studio photographs of Rube Marquard and Blossom Seeley. He was a baseball superstar from the New York Giants and she was a vaudeville mega-star, but they formed one of the most famous power-couples of the era. The marriage would last until 1920 but the union would be one of the first of a star athlete and famous actress that would spawn a million imitations over the years. Each image is a double weight studio photograph from Moffitt of Chicago and these were used to promote the couple when they would tour together after the baseball season ended. You get both images for one bid and they are the finest of their kind we have ever seen!
