Large 1925 pitching action photograph of rookie Lefty Grove from the Philadelphia Athletics and posed in full uniform at the ballpark, showing off his pitching form for a photographer from NEA. Possibly the work of Louis Van Oeyen, this appears to be in his style and he worked for NEA at this time period! Dated from early in his rookie season (May 1925), this is among his finest images ever taken and the earliest action photograph we have ever handled! The photo presents beautifully with exceptional clarity and contrast, clearly the work of a master photographer!
