Large c. 1910 double weight studio photograph of baseball player Mike Donlin who was giving up the game to pursue a career in Broadway and silent films. He was one of the best players in the game and would be in the Hall of Fame had he taken baseball more seriously, but the fact that he gave it all up for a girl and a film career is also what keeps us talking about him over 100 years later! The offered image is his finest we have ever seen, of exceptional quality and dry-stamped on the corner by the Moffett studio. This is the only example we have ever seen in the hobby!
