1910-1912 Action photograph of Lee Tannehill from the Chicago White Sox as he leapt for a high ball at Hilltop Park in New York. One of his greatest images ever taken, this is the work of famous photographer Charles Conlon. We have handled thousands of Conlon images over the last twenty years and this one is a significant anomaly as he has added his full signature and title on the back in his own hand in lieu of a stamp! He has signed the work "C.M. Conlon, Evening Telegram, New York" which is an incredible touch. The work speaks for itself as one of his better images from the era, but the inclusion of the handwritten notes and full autograph make it a gem!
