1912 Double weight original photograph of a lifeboat carrying survivors of the RMS Titanic as it approached the rescue ship "Carpathia" just hours after the disaster. From the archives of Brown Brothers and bearing their original 1912 stamp on the back as well as a fantastic handwritten narrative, this is one of the only completely vintage 1912 images of the Titanic disaster we have ever seen and the first vintage example of this image. There are NO Type 1 examples of this photo as it was shot by a passenger on the Carpathia and the negative was lost, so this image (Type 3) is the best example in the world. An important piece of photography that displays really well and comes with a PSA letter cementing it is indeed original to 1912!
