1931 Beautiful posed action photograph of Hall of Famer Dizzy Dean. Not only is this a rare photo from early in his career, it is the image that was used to make his rookie baseball card (1931-32 Metropolitan Studios). Issued by Wide World Photos and with their 1933 stamp on the back, the photo presents beautifully and with exceptional clarity. There is a chip off the lower right corner and a rip on the upper left that has been repaired on the back with tape, but the photo looks way better than the technical grade. This is the only example of the photograph used to make Dean's rookie card that we have ever seen and it is sure to excite the collectors of both rookie and baseball card images!
