1938 Large portrait photograph from a Hollywood studio photographer of Hall of Famer Lou Gehrig of the Yankees as he looked to cash in on his fame in the upcoming film "Rawhide." By far his greatest image from the film that we have ever seen, this is a beautiful work of art from just before Gehrig would be diagnosed with ALS. Encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1 and offered here for the first time ever. There is a little wear on the lower left corner, otherwise it is a beautiful specimen.
