Beautiful c. 1919 photograph of Babe Ruth (either from his last years in Boston or his first years in New York) and posing in formal attire from head to toe at the entrance of a home. This image pre-dates the 1922 purchase of his Sudbury home in Massachusetts, and we have been unable to pinpoint the date or location, but Ruth's clothes and youthful appearance indicate this is a c. 1919 and matches well with his images from his last year as a member of the Red Sox. Blank backed, the photo has a sticker that indicates this was from the 1996 Baseball Magazine sale through Christie's. Regardless of the exact year, this is a stunning image from early in Ruth's career and it is a work of art that we have never seen before!
