Original c. 1914 photograph of boxing champion Jack Johnson as he spent a day at the racecourse in Paris and flaunted his most unforgivable sins, taking a white wife and having money! He looks dapper and they are sporting the trimmings of upper-class society, despite Johnson being despised for his color. The image is one of the earliest and greatest of Johnson and his first wife we have ever handled. The photo is beautiful and it comes with a paper caption and stamps on the back. A high grade work of photography, this is a stunning piece of early boxing history.
