Dated March 1920 photograph of Babe Ruth, recently of the Boston Red Sox and now a member of the Yankees, as he was preparing himself for his first year with the club. An important image as it captures the youthful Bambino from before he ever put on Yankee pinstripes, it is also one of the first to ever capture Ruth on the golf course as well. It is incredible to think that Ruth was on the Red Sox just two months earlier and was on the verge of changing the world, but he looked like any other youngster trying to prove himself! Encapsulated by PSA as a Type 1, this is from Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well. The photo is clear and bold with Ruth looking right at the photographer and despite some creasing on the edges, it presents really well and is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen!
