1924 Photograph from opening day at the Polo Grounds in which members of the New York Giants raised their National League pennant flag. While normally a festive occasion, they had won four straight of these and this one felt like a consolation prize as they had lost the World Series to the upstart Yankees and their superstar Babe Ruth. An artistic image that presents really well, this is from Acme and is stamped and dated on the back with a full paper caption as well. This is the only example of this photograph we have ever seen.
