Dazzy Vance is a weird anomaly in the history of Baseball. He broke into the Major Leagues in 1915 and was pretty bad. He re-emerged in 1922 but toiled in mediocrity for a few more years before his breakout season in 1924 when he would romp over the National League to the tune of a 28-6 record while leading the League in ERA and Strikeouts (winning The Pitching Triple Crown). The offered image is from this breakout season, issued by the Keystone View Company, and it features a great portrait pose of Vance in Brooklyn uniform and smiling. The paper caption on the back talks about his early 1925 season, but this is a known 1924 image of the Hall of Famer. There is a couple light pinholes and some tracing from editorial use, but it looks great and is being offered here for the first time ever!
