1981 Photograph of rookie Cal Ripken Jr. of the Baltimore Orioles as he posed in uniform for perhaps the first time on his way to a storied career with the Baltimore Orioles. While the photo is only dated with a pen notation, it certainly appears based on the uniform and the youthful appearance of Ripken that this does indeed date to 1981. Developed on Kodak paper with the appropriate watermark on the back, you could probably photo-match this to 1981 or early 1982 by his bat and gloves etc. It is interesting to note that the man in the background hitting balls to the infielders is his father, Cal Sr! A unique new discovery that is being offered here for the first time ever!
