In what had to be one of the dumbest moves in baseball history, the Boston Red Sox played a scrimmage against a picked team of all-stars as a tune up before the World Series against the Cardinals. In the game, Ted Williams was beaned by Mickey Haefner in the elbow and it made Williams ineffective in the series. The offered image shows Williams and Hall of Famer Hank Greenberg in the locker room just after the event and the back paper caption talks all about the event. The condition and quality are both outstanding and it is stamped by the International News and with a full paper caption on the back.
