1920 Large and extremely detailed photograph from the interior of the ballpark (Ebbets Field in Brooklyn) and showing a game from one of the most famous World Series' about to start. Photographers are poised beside the third base dugout which is full of players and with the bats laid out on the ground, ready for action. There is a palpable buzz in the air as spectators have their scorecards out, while stadium food venders dressed in all white stand out like beacons of light amidst the dark suitcoats and hats. The detail in this image is among the best of any stadium shots we have ever seen, yet this is a photograph we have never seen before in any form! Issued by Underwood and Underwood, the photograph has some pinholes from editorial use and a small rip on the upper left that has been reinforced with tape on the back, but it looks much better than the technical grade. Perhaps the best stadium interior shot from a World Series that we have ever handled, this is being offered here for the first time ever and dated 10-9-1920 on the back.
