Absolutely beautiful c. 1952-54 photograph of a very young Mickey Mantle in uniform and posing at Yankee Stadium. Developed on double weight paper that has a mat finish and high quality silver gelatin, this would have been the type of developing process reserved for artists at the time and this is an absolute blazer as a result. Almost certainly unique, this is a clear and concise work of baseball photography that really captures the youth and innocence of Mantle at the time. It is interesting to note that it appears Mantle is standing on a pitching rubber!
