1935 Poignant photograph of a pensive Babe Ruth as he sits with Emil Fuchs of the Boston Braves (owner) and looks over the field during spring training. It was a period of massive reflection for Ruth as he was passed over by the Yankees for a coaching job and took his aging talents back to Boston as a member of the Braves. He hoped that by going to the worst team in baseball, he could reinvent himself and get a job as a manager, but they would use his name to sell tickets and dump him as well. A thought provoking snapshot image that presents well with note to a small area of paper loss on the upper left corner, this is completely unique and a powerful work of photography!
