1926 Early photograph of the great Babe Ruth on the golf course in St. Petersburg. Despite informally taking up the game in 1915, Ruth spent relatively little time on the golf course early in his career and was not a big enough celebrity to have photographers follow him there even when he did. In fact, this 1926 photograph form spring training and showing Ruth hitting a ball, is the earliest we have ever handled showing Ruth on the golf course. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back with a full paper caption as well.
