1911 Photograph of the Philadelphia Athletics in uniform and posed at the ballpark. Packed with superstars, this squad would win the American League pennant and then the World Series over the Giants. Led by Hall of Famers Eddie Plank, Chief Bender, Eddie Collins, Frank Baker and manager Connie Mack, it almost did not seem to matter that they let a rookie named Shoeless Joe Jackson get away! The photo presents beautifully and despite being a re-strike from slightly later, around the 1940's, it presents and feels like a 110 year old original! The quality of the photograph is fantastic and each player is listed on the back by the original photographers studio.
