Lot Description  

Vintage 1968 photograph of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. standing on the same balcony in Memphis where he would be shot the next day by an assassin. Photo is amazing as it captures both Dr. King and Jesse Jackson together at the now iconic spot with no idea what lay ahead. This is a rare original and one of only a few we have ever handled with this being the only Type 1 (Vintage 1) specimen we have ever handled! Despite some wear from news-room use, the photo looks great!
