1951 Important photograph of the famous Brown Bomber Joe Louis, past his prime, but fighting for the title against Rocky Marciano. Not surprisingly, Louis would be knocked out and end his monster career in defeat as this would be his last fight. It would, however, symbolize the genesis of the career of the most famous fighter of the era, Rocky Marciano on the other end. Issued by the International News and with a full paper caption that notes the photographer as Harry Hirsch.
