In 1947 and 1948, the top pitcher in the Negro Leagues was young James LaMarque of the Kansas City Monarchs. He led the league in wins both seasons as well as a ton of other categories. The offered photograph is the only image of LaMarque that we have ever seen and it presents beautifully!
