1922 Detailed portrait photo of star catcher from the New York Giants Earl Smith in full uniform. Bold and clear, this is a fantastic piece of prewar photography stamped on the back by the International News and with a full paper caption that notes he was a hard hitter! This is the photo that was used to make Smith's W575-2 (autograph over the shoulder) baseball card and is the only example we have ever seen!
