When you type in the name Leo Seiffert in baseballreference.com, you get a snapshot of a faceless man who played for six years in the minor leagues. We now know he was good enough to be on the roster for the Cincinnati Reds for a short time in 1921 as he is pictured here during the last days of spring training. His story is lost to history, but likely he was among the final cuts and when this image was taken, he was full of hope that he might make a big league roster! Stamped on the back by NEA and in great shape, this is the only image of Seiffert we have ever seen!
