1915 Portrait style photograph of Red Sox star Jack Barry at the ballpark. One of the best infielders of his generation, this is one of his best photographs of him we have ever offered, taken by a photographer from Underwood and Underwood and with their file marks on the back. Now, lets talk about that kids at the upper right! You had to think some unsupervised youngster was at the ballpark early, probably milling around where he shouldn't be, and saw a photographer setting up near Barry. He had to have a bit of mischief in him to creep behind the star player and lean into the shot, knowing full well that he would never see the finished product, but the daring act alone was worth the risk. Seems like a cool kid! The photo bomb that resulted is one like few we have ever seen, and we have probably handled a half million sports portraits at the ballpark like this.
