Marie Curie gets most of the credit now for the discovery of radium, but it really was a team effort with her husband Pierre. The problem was, Pierre died in 1907 and left a vacuum of celebrity which was gladly filled by Madame Marie who would live for another three plus decades. The offered 1905 silver gelatin photograph is the ONLY vintage image of the pair together in the lab that we have ever seen and as such it is an important piece of photography that is being offered here for the first time ever. Completely original, this belongs in a museum!
