Important 1927 photograph of Dr. James Naismith, the man who invented the game of basketball, as he helps his young son learn some of the fundamentals of the game. All images of Naismith are extremely rare and this is one of the first we have offered in years. Issued by Underwood and Underwood and stamped on the back, the condition is nice with a couple small corner chips being the only flaws.
