c. 1909 Cabinet photograph of the South Atlantic League Augusta Tourists in uniform and posing at the ballpark. The team is clearly correct as they are posed in front of a scoreboard which still reads that the game was between Savannah and Augusta on this day. In 1910 the team changed to a different jersey style so our date of 1909 is correct we think, but we have not tried to identify individual players. Professional cabinet photographs from this era are rare and this one is an extreme rarity as the southern leagues were not nearly as popular a hundred and ten years ago as they are today. Despite some chipping to the mount, the photo portion is nice with one small spot of wear on the bottom right corner area. Image portion measures 4.5x6.5 on a much larger mount.
