1947 Intense action photograph taken from ringside at the Sugar Ray Robinson v. Jimmy Doyle boxing match and showing Robinson as he looks over the lifeless body of Doyle with concern, not yet knowing the tragic results of the fight. Doyle would fall in the eighth round and eventually die from his beating, making this one of the most tragic boxing matches of all time. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back, it is also identified as the work of photographer Gean Baron on the back as well. One of the only images from this tragic and important fight we have ever seen and this one tells the whole story!
