While the 1919 White Sox get all the fanfare, the 1917 assemblage of talent in Chicago was just as good, and they won the World Series fair and square! The offered team photograph from George Grantham Bain shows the squad in uniform and posing at the ballpark. Photo includes the immortal Shoeless Joe Jackson (third from right with his legs crossed) as well as most of the other men that would make history for the wrong reasons in a few years. One of the only vintage images of this famous team we have ever seen and it presents in fantastic condition with one small rip on the upper left corner. There is extra paper added to the back by the Culver archives for stability long ago but this looks great. Guaranteed to be a Type 1 from PSA as part of the original Bain stamp and date are visible in the center.
