1929 Head to toe batting photograph of the famed "Iron Horse", Lou Gehrig, showing off his batting stance for a photographer from the International News. The image is by far one of his greatest images we have ever handled and it presents beautifully. The photo has a paper caption on the back and talks extensively about how Gehrig (not Babe Ruth) was the leading slugger in the game at the time. The photo has already been authenticated by PSA as a "Type 1" and comes with a full letter of authenticity which is a great touch. The photo has had a little bit of restoration done at the top but it has already been authenticated so this will not affect how PSA handles the image. Condition and quality are outstanding and this is a tremendous investment as Gehrig is underrated at this time considering what Ruth photos like this sell for today!
