1940 Franklin D. Roosevelt photograph of the President opening the baseball season in Washington. Photo is in nice overall condition and the back carries a stamp from the International News. One of the last baseball seasons before WWII and of course one of the last from Roosevelt as well as it can clearly be seen in this photo that standing was a major accomplishment. This is the only photograph of Roosevelt throwing his first pitch from 1940 we have ever handled.
