Lot Description  

Large 1922 action photograph from the second game of the World Series and showing members of the New York Giants on the attack. Wally Pipp is the man guarding first for the Yankees and it shows Frankie Frisch rounding first. Issued by the International News and stamped on the back, this is only the second time the Yankees were in the World Series!
